Centre 1 · M20

West Didsbury

The most popular South Manchester centre. Predominantly residential routes, plenty of mini-roundabouts, and a few notoriously tight junctions students get caught out on if they haven't driven them before.

What we drill

• Strong knowledge of Princess Parkway and Palatine Road junctions
• Independent driving routes often head towards Withington and East Didsbury
• Multiple mini-roundabouts - practice approach speed and observation
• Bay parking and parallel commonly tested at the centre car park

Centre 2 · M33

Sale

A short hop down the M60. A mix of urban and faster residential routes through Sale, Brooklands and Ashton-on-Mersey. Often quieter than West Didsbury - useful if test slots are tight elsewhere.

What we drill

• Routes include sections on faster A-roads (50mph) - confidence required
• Common manoeuvres: forward bay, parallel, pull-up on the right
• Mock tests run end-to-end on the exact routes you'll be examined on
• Useful alternative when West Didsbury waits are long

Centre 3 · M8

Cheetham Hill

Manchester City test centre - busier, more urban, with frequent bus lanes, taxi ranks and complex multi-lane junctions. Strong choice for confident learners who want to test in dense city traffic.

What we drill

• Higher traffic density - excellent for confident drivers
• Bus lanes and box junctions appear regularly on routes
• Tight terraced streets test your low-speed control and observation
• Independent driving sections often head towards Strangeways and Manchester Victoria
